I really like those short youTube clips teaching abcs, signs, weather, languages etc. If anyone has ever put any together onto a dvd, I’d love a copy… willing to re-imburse via Paypal. I just havent had the time with 5 kids to do this myself. I’m sure others out there would want these clips too.
If you sign up for a youtube account you can use playlists to view a series of videos, you can also create a list of your favorites. I know this isn’t what you were asking for, but it is really easy to do and I thought you might find it useful.

me too would love to get a copy of the dvd. i want to play it while i am at work. my babysitter does not have access to computer/laptop to play for the baby. homemade videos are soo good as they don’t overstimulate the baby.

I am currently working on my playlist… I’m trying to choose clips that will be clear(ish) when on a bigger screen. I’m trying to cover maths, science, history, geography, music, art, english and a little bit of languages, so as to be suitable for all who want the dvd.
My design is that it would be appealing to babies and toddlers, so it would have amusing items here and there (singing kittens and babies, and youngsters singing eg Doe a deer (do, re mi) or signing ASL). And some clips of Dr seuss books, adventures of spot, and Hairy McClary (as this will reinforce the books I want my kids to learn soon).
So there’ll be chemical elements songs, flashcard words, abcs, counting, sign language, countries, presidents, prime ministers, continents, oceans, state of US, body parts songs, days of week, months, fruits, vegetables, animals, flags, phonics songs.
I want my kids to learn facts about eg photosynthesis, learn to sing catchy teaching songs, and see kids singing and using the piano, violin etc. (To inspire them, and so they see these prodigies as normal and imitatable).
Some clips have looked really great, then right at the end turns “adult”. So I have to screen each clip through to the end…
Jakim…if I do a playlist in YouTube, how do I share it with you? (I’ve currently been saving the URLs in notepad under different headings (subjects) so I know what variety I’m getting…

I will when I have a dvds worth. Currently I see that there’s so much stuff it would take several dvds, so I’m trying to do one dvds worth covering all areas, then if you want to do more dvds, I’m happy to get more lists. Thus each dvd would have variety, be educational and enjoyable… not one dvd of one topic…

I never knew you could download youtube videos. :wub: Dvds are a great idea. Nikita if you could arrange it so that it would be age appropriate…that would be great. my baby is 7 months. Kudos to the Jakim for making the dvds…offcourse w/ reimbursements :biggrin:
If Jakim is happy to do more than one dvd, like a little series, then I can do easiest level and work up, but the sooner bubs are exposed to memorising presidents etc songs, the sooner they’ll memorise it. I was planning to intersperse more difficult concepts with easier ones (like abcs).
Personally I’d like one with a christian flavour (bible memorisation etc), but that would not suit non-christians. Muslims for instance might want qu’ran memorisation clips. So I left “religion” out of my subject list.
