(Italian but refers english sites)

this is are really incredible list. thanks for putting so much time into it. i think we might be a little young for some of it but i can’t wait to get there.
as i’m searching for sites and finding links i like to use delicious. you can share links with people using it too.

Ed,
This is excellent. On the thread about presckool I mention starting somthing like this. It will help if besides the topic we ssee some insight on what the links will give us. Nonetheless I realize it is very hard work. Thnaka you.

wow,
this is amazing, this is what I was looking for
thanks a toon
I am ready to help but am a little confused on how to go about it.
lemme know what I can do

yes, I remember  it was a great idea I was thinking about it and now I’ve decided to do something,
I hope you could copy all links and add something new, it’s open post,
that way we can organize all links
ed.

thanks,
I don’t know if we could something like video gallery Internet Gallery?
with all links divided by themes and shorts description, wow
at the moment I hope we can add new sites here
we can copying the first post with links add the new one and post it, the second person should use this new post, the third etc.
I don’t know if it’s clear and possible
ed.

and I don’t know what to do with points system (every post is counting by words and if we copy…?)in this case lol
ed

it’s review of posts of Martina maked by laidalays, seems like onother small library by themes,
thanks I paste it here, ok?

"Hi Martina,
I have gone through all your posts and to tell the truth I have become really exhausted sleep because you have so many of them! . Anyway, thank you, you were right there was in fact one post with all the info I needed and even more. Here is the list of the DVDs and videos you advised in another thread concerning baby and kids education. I hope you don’t mind I paste it here in case any other person should have interest on it so this person shouldn’t need to browse through all your posts (exhausting I bet you LOL LOL )

Thanks for the list. This is very useful for me. lol

Thanks for the links!

welcome lol
I’m still working
I’d like to create new forum board with add link option and division by categories like here math, flashcards, french etc.
can we do it?
ed

thanks! I’ve been begging someone to gather all of the web links together for us. It is hard keeping up with all of them even though I contribute to adding more myself. I think it would be a great idea for a link Library, it would help us a lot and we can add more sites to the list if needed. But who has the time? Maybe someone can set up a word doc. with them all on it for people to download or a link to someones pesonal website with them listed.

Thanks ed for the hard work! K to you.

Thank you so much!

That is exactly what I wanted to do (searching for all links at Brillkids). I have asked for a bookmarking function at the forum. See

http://forum.brillkids.com/forum-feedback-plus-suggestions/bookmarking-function-for-good-websites/

They will do it but no clue when. Maybe until then we should update your list frequently.

Excellent well done ed … i wonder if can make lal the links into a subtitle bar … where it points to links … and then they got teaching music to beginners … baby 0-1 etc … so that we can have extra extra knowledge base to refer to when we want to know othe rmore curriculum to do our subjects …

anyway k to you …

Resource links need to be categorized or else they’ll become more and more hard to find.
This has been pointed out many times but looks like moderators didnn’t found time to do it :frowning:
ed.

I don’t think you included some links from this thread http://forum.brillkids.com/general-discussion-b5/web-links-for-early-learning-resources/

I have wanted a board for helpful sites for a long time. I am the one who is constantly reading through the same links over and over again. I don’t make the decision though. But I can guarantee you that there won’t be separate sections like what’s proposed. We simply don’t have the space on the forums for that much organization. If a board is made, I think people will have to make threads for the different topics and then if someone finds another site, they can just add it to the thread. So someone can make a thread for math links and then everyone can just post math links under that thread, and so on. But that may be a problem b/c some people don’t post in the right threads, and we may just have to keep moving things around.

The solution you proposed if fine but will tend to turn things a bit messy, IMHO.
My idea is something like the “Video Gallery” where resources are well organized and split into categories (ex. songs, math and so on) from the resource submission.
This way you (the moderators) won’t have to worry about moving things around and the users will have their life easier finding things.
Further improvement can be the resource rating to make a “natural selection” among all the contributions.

Like I said, it’s not up to me, and those above me think it will be messy any way you look at it.

Hi all,

Ok, so this issue is going higher and higher up the priority list…

First of all, thanks very much, ed, for your work so far - it’s very helpful indeed. And everyone else too who has contributed (including pushing for a bookmarking system).

Apart from our entire team being swamped by the work that needs to be done to launch the new systems, the biggest issue for me here is how to categorize, and how links are added, the approval process, etc. What complicates matters is that many sites cover multiple categories. Where would you file such a site? Would you file multiple links for different parts of the site under multiple sections? If so, where does it end?

What would be ideal would be for the categorization to follow along similar lines as to what we have for our boards and video gallery (ie., Teach baby to read, Teach baby math, etc.), but looking at ed’s list of categories, it seems like that won’t work very well.

These are some of the things we need to think about before working to do such a system.

If you have thoughts on how the system should work, and esp how they should be categorized, please share your input here!

well, it seems more interesting now, this weekend I can finish to order all links, I hope,
I don’t know if it will be better to use some details of the sites which we recommend, like:
I found this math exercises look and link (always with Links Gallery  )
important is some details not all site expecially for our “curriculum feature”
