Hello, my user name is “Tornado” after my daughter! She is such a whirlwind of activity! My aunt teasingly (I hope told me that she prayed God would give me triplet boys-- God apparently heard her prayer but decided to wrap up all three boys in one pretty lil’ package! Oh, how she keeps us on our toes! She adores books, words, etc… I am really excited to learn more about BrillBaby and Little Reader to learn how they can help us continue to challenge her!

Hi KL,
I’m new here. I have been using flash cards for my daughter ,11months old, from birth. Due to some problem I had to stop the flash card for a month, then I started using it again but when I started again she didn’t show any interest to the flash cards. She didn’t even want look at the flash cards. But I am still showing her the cards. i’m afraid she will lose interest because i’m forcing her to see. Please advise!!!
Can I get the Brillkids product in Malaysia???
Hi ladydragon,
You can get Little Reader from any country so long as you have an Internet connection and a credit card!
Our products are downloadable, and that means you can download it immediately after purchase and be playing with it very soon after that!
It’s always good to use a variety of tools. If she doesn’t like flash cards now, put them away for a while. Try other tools, like DVD’s, powerpoints (check out our downloadables), and try out Little Reader on a free 14-day trial basis!
Hi KL,
I’m new here and have gone through all the info, but I still have a doubt, Little Readers is only consist of slide shows only. What about the manual flash card? Don’t they use it? I’m still confused with the method. There is no proper and detailed explanation on this method. My daughter is 11 months old and I have been using the Glenn Doman Flash cards. Recently she doesn’t show interest on the flash card. She’s not even seeing the flash cards. That is when I surfed the net and came across Brillkids “Little Readers”. I want my daughter to enjoy and participate in all her sessions. Can you guide me through the problem I’m facing. Please help.
Yes, Little Reader is played using the computer, so of course it is not “flash cards”.
I think what you’re referring to is the ‘flash’ method, which is rapid flashing of words, and takes advantage of the right-brain capabilities, as opposed to the ‘multisensory’ method which uses a lot of media and is played much more slowly.
Most people know the first method as the ‘flash card’ method because it used to be done only with physical flash cards.
You can read about both methods here:
http://www.brillbaby.com/teach-baby/reading-flash-cards.php
http://www.brillbaby.com/teach-baby/reading-multisensory-method.php
Little Reader lessons incorporate both methods, flash and multisensory.
You should understand that these methods can be done with different medium - physical cards, DVDs, or computer software.
Hope that makes things clearer!
Hi KL
You will not believe how amazing Brillbaby proves to be. I am a new mom but not a very young mom really and I had ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE about early learning and early stimulation till i happened to ACCIDENTALLY browse Brillbaby. Since then there has been NO LOOKING BACK. I only wish I had known about this MUCH earlier. My daughter ANANYA PORTIA is just turning 1 1/2 is already knows every rhyme and nursery song you can think of because I had exposed her to the VCDs and audio CDs of these songs / rhymes. Since I am in the UAE, most of what I managed to buy were Australian. then I came across the prospect of downloading Youtube videos including the learn series, I was absolutely ecstatic and since then have made my own CDs (almost 400 downloads since then).
Then it was brillbaby which actually taught me the correct method and process of going about this including the Schichida and Doman methods. I have EVEN MANAGED to get the CDs of YBCR (all 5 of them) from online.
But my main intention and focus remains on purchasing the Little Reader and Little Math programs. I am purchasing it tonight and hope to install during our weekend in the UAE.
Nonetheless, I intend sharing Brillbaby website with everyone i know. Thank you for making this possible.

Hi KL
thanks for creating this software. Save a lot of trouble especially for lazy parents. Oops! Haha…
Anyway, I’m wondering for the flash card section, if my kids are not attentive as they’re wondering about, should we forced them to concentrate or to replay if they didn’t watch it? Or should we just skip to the next section no matter what?
When my kids are not attentive, sometimes, we reprimanded them and thereafter they will cry and then try to concentrate. However, I thought this might caused a negative association to the flash cards.
Any comments? Any parents encounter such problem?
Thanks
Cheers!
KC
We definitely do not recommend forcing your kids to learn.
You can try replaying it later when they’re more attentive, but it’s also ok to just skip it. Some parents totally ignore the flash lessons and focus on the multisensory, and that’s fine too. You must remember there are no hard and fast rules to any of this. The most important thing is to do it according to your child’s interest and attention, which may vary day to day, or month to month.
Hi! I’m Aida from Malaysia! I just bought LR+LM and we are on day 3 now… It is really fun! My daughter really loves it!
Can’t wait for this evening’s session!
Thanks a lot for creating this software which saves a lot of time for a working mother like me.
I’m using both Little Reader and Little Math since one month. My Daughter is nine months old.
I was showing printed flash cards earlier since she was 3 months old. She did not see at those flash cards when she became 7 months.
Then I came across brillkids and purchased both your products. Also Curious to know when Little Music will get released. Very Amazing products.
I 'm teaching my daughter both Little Reader and Little Math. She is interested in Math ( showing her quantity lessons).
She is not at all interested in Little Reader. But I am still showing her the lessons . i’m afraid she will lose interest ,then how will I teach her.
and also have a doubt about testing her. When shall I test her about her reading and math.
Please advice.
