Thanks Questers! It is good to hear from grown Doman baby.
HI
I am overwhelmed with the wealth of information on the internet abut early learning.
I tried “Your Baby Can Read†with my 15 month old, and had such great success, I am eager to move onto Math. I have just ordered the book on Math from Glenn Doman, and have started with the Math Dots. I am wondering if I need Tweedlewink or Brill Kids Math or Reading. (I am currently using the 14 day trial for Brill Kids). My youngest is 2 yrs & 2 months old. (Her siblings are 5 yrs, and 6.5 yrs)
HELP!
Diane
Hey All,
I am new here… and would like to thank DomanMom for sharing her Dots slides and schedule plan. However I found some error in one of her teaching mat’l which she shared on her blog.
Hi Domanmon:
It’s really wonderful of u to have share your efforts wif us!! just like to highlight to u possible mistakes in your last few slides from the Dots powerpoint slides that you shared… there r somewhere around 90 dots and onwards, or even earlier (haven finish checking). What I did to verify the qty of dots was to select all dots in a slides and custom animations (using “start on click” for every single dots). “Custom Animation Window” will list out the no. orders of each dots, so after excluding the animations for the numeral (i.e. the one at the bottom RHC), u shld be able to find extra 1 dot for these few slides. Perhaps you can verify again
When my daughter was 5 months, I started showing her dot cards on the computer. I showed her numbers 1-20.
I didn’t go any further(bad mommy) because I wanted to continue by using the actual doman math kit. Now she is almost two years old, and I am starting her on this program. Your not supposed to, but I did a little test. After months and months of not seeing any dots, I showed her dots 1-5 and asked her to point to one, four, two etc. Guess what? She pointed to the right ones! After all that time! We are excited to start up again, and she thinks that the math cards are fun.I would say that this program can give great results! I would encourage everyone to try.
Just to share the errors found on DomanMom’s Dots Powerpoint slides as mentioned in my earlier post… better to verify if u guys r using…
. 79 dots to 89 dots (1 less dot)
. 90 dots to 100 dots (1 extra dot)
Hi Ixxi,
Can you help me to count if the dots in the words format is correct? I had print them out and been using them for quite sometimes. I still can’t figure out how to check.
Thanks in advance.
Hi luckymommy1307,
sorry, i have no idea how to check for microsoft words either… at least for powerpoint, i can use “custom animation” function to help…
i intend to print out from powerpoint instead…
Hi Ixxi,
Can I trouble you to upload the correct qty of edited file again? I will print out those.
Thanks alot!
Hi Ixxi,
Thank you for sharing this. I have been using the powerpoint dot slides with my daughter. I double-checked them today and you are right! Fortunately, we haven’t gotten past 50 yet. I have corrected my slides. I didn’t realize there could be someone else more obsessive-compulsive than I am. But I sure am glad you are! Thanks!
At this thread I have written about some (former) faults in the math dots files:

Dear Everyone,
I just had to share an exciting moment that we just experienced in our little house. Sarah was playing with a bead counter that we have and she counted from 1 to 5 by herself - which I was impressed with. And then she did it again from 1 - 10 by herself. My husband and I looked at each other in amazement and delight that she is absorbing the LM counting lessons.
Now I can hear her counting 11, 12, 13, 14 . . to her father . . .wowww! . . .

Ayesha,
Thats great news!! Have you taught her counting by any other means before (other than LM)? By counting lessons, you mean quantity lessons right? How far are you into LM?
Regards,
Questers.
Hi Heyblue, We use LR. Now my son is learning additions. Only additions now, not substractions/div/multi…
I “tested” him day before yesterday. Just 3 sums.
1 plus 1
2 plus 2
3 plus 2
He got it all correct. I shall make video and give u. he is now 7mo.
Dear Questers & Everyone,
I am so proud of my girls. And I love LM! I am actually using the LM Doman math sets uploaded by Anji; and we are currently on Day 37 for quantity and Day 37 for math equations.

I plan to use Agnes’ LM Shichida math sets next with the schedule in post #23 & #24:
http://forum.brillkids.com/teaching-your-child-math/shichida-65-day-math-programme/15/
I have only used LM with the sets so far; with the exception of just counting things to them in English; like their fingers and toes; food items such as grapes, etc.; and my husband counts to them in Arabic.
I also have the Doman Math Kit and need to re-read the book to feel more confident in the teaching process (I have an aversion to math); and will use the large flash cards as reinforcement to what they are learning.
It is certainly encouraging to me to continue - even though I feel clueless about the process.

Hi all,
I purchased LM and LR recently.Just have a doubt if the dot cards has to be shown in random or grid???which one is the most effective?
Thanks.
Vani…Grid is normally used for children above 4 or 5 years who already know to count…For a baby as young as yours, you can show in random…
I am on week 2 or so of the dot method, we are up to 9 sessions per day, two dots sessions and an equation session. However, I just realized a few days ago that ALL sessions should be at least 15 mins apart, and I had been doing 3 sessions at a time back to back, 3x per day instead.
Is this a problem? Should I have started over? Also I cant tell whether she is really getting it or not…is there a point where you start all over and try again? She has already learned to read with YBCR, (b/w15 months& 24months) but I feel I am under the gun now to achieve quantitative Perception…she is 26 months.
Help!
Hi FortNelsonMom
I haven’t started the dot system yet, still reading about it all, and one thing I was wondering is I know that I will never get to doing 9 sessions a day, due to work and other things, so am also wondering if 2 or 3 longer sessions would be ok. I don’t see why not, provided the child is not saying she/he have had enough.
Anyone had experience with that?
I wouldn’t start over though. She would have absorbed some of it by now so might be bored starting over.
Hey Fludo,
I don’t know about little math but I do that with LR, I show sessions one and two in the same sitting. I think like you said as long as the child is not asking to stop you should be fine. Also you should make sure they are focused on the screen.
My corrected version. But I would still advise u to double check b4 use… that’s just the price u need to pay if u wanna save $$ on ready built software/ flash cards
