I’ve been spending quite a lot of time searching through youtube for good videos for early learning. I like showing short fun clips that cover quite a range of subjects (languages, maths, phonics, EK, music etc etc). I really like ones with songs, as my daughter loves music. I usually show a few of these after showing LM / LR and she really looks forward to them.
But I find it quite difficult and slow to collect good clips.
I remember there was a thread quite a long time ago with the URL’s of some great clips. But I was I wondering if anyone can recommend any channels to follow, maybe who have a good range of early learning clips in separated into categories? This might save having to cut and paste each url separately and makes it easier to choose which ones are relevant.
Our all time favourite channel is the Readeez one! This is the “reward” (and the bribe lol ) that I use frequently! It’s musical and you follow the words as they are sung (somewhat like karaoke but with syllables). It’s fun and a lot of them are educational - not all, but a lot. Our current favourites - my son’s - “Everybody Clap Your Hands” and mine “The Ballad of Circle and Square”.
haha nhockoday that is SO true.
You might want to read my blog (the educational one)…I will be listing all my resources on there. (it’ll take me quite a bit of time). I have put up a few already.
In a couple of weeks I’ll be having a “grand opening ceremony” and having some giveaways.
I love breakthruchris (phonics) and peterweatherall (math/science) on there. Also omigrad (english), Lisa4JesusToday, ClubhouseKidzTV , ClubhouseKidz and ginnywizzy (christian resources), bashomosko and bashoandfriends (languages).
And for the littlies, Myvoxsongs.
There’s heaps more…
Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. I am finding these a great ‘bribe’ too!!
Nikita - am really looking forward to the exciting updates to your blog and links to your other resources
Hi! You might like to check out the Sparkabilities You Tube channel! We have several videos posted from our DVD series.
Babies 1 is for 4 months through 8 months.
Babies 2 is 6 through 24 months.
Toddler 1 is for 18 through 36 months and
Toddler 2 is for 24 through 48 months.
Another channel I like is: http://www.youtube.com/user/musicfactorymusic
Many songs interpreted. It helped me a lot! I’ve learned how to sing along and have fun with my son, and he loves it! he’s even started to learn the words of the songs just after some repetitions.
