Where's Waldo?

We have a Charley Harper ABCs book at home, and the inside flaps have this amazing illustration (attached) of many small animals, all close together.

Well, DS is so fascinated with the inside flaps, he can spend several minutes exploring it. He loves hearing me call out all the different animals, etc.

I thought maybe it was the small, rich details that he enjoyed, so I picked up a copy of Where’s Waldo. It has many small characters and objects to explore.

Anyone else out there with a DC who loves really detailed pictures?

Any particular value in Where’s Waldo that you’ve heard?

TIA

I recommend Baby Einstein First Look and Find book. They are much more age appropriate with lots of colorful pictures. It’s a big book with board book pages. There are scenes on the pages and you have to find the pictures listed on the side. Good thing is, the pictures you have to find teach colors, shapes, instruments, animals and so on.

Or you can try I spy books. I think they would be much too hard, but easier and more interesting than where’s waldo? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=eye+spy&x=0&y=0
