When should Baby Learn?

At what age do you think that serious child education should begin. Walking, cognitive, reading, math, languages skills etc.

For me I would think as soon as you possibly can. I wished I had known about Early Education. I was always brought up to believe that kids don’t start learning real stuff until they were old enough to go to school.
Now I know better. Had I had a chance to do it all over again. I would start right in the 6 to 12 month range. Maybe even sooner depending on my child.

I just ran across this video on babies and language. Very informative. Parents are SO important!!

I think it should begin at 2years and up but you can start as early as 6mos old teaching children is always going on but at 2year+ its exciting to see them retain more and response to what your teaching them.

I think ‘serious child education’ starts since baby is born. Just when they are born, babies have an incredible ability to ‘learn’ or assimilate all that is going around them. My daughter already start showing the red points and mentioning the numbers to her daughter that is only 6 weeks old. I had the opportunity of seeign my older grandkid, now 4 and realized how he learned form one day to another. I agree, the sooner the better. The clue here is to balance among intellectual, physical and emotional development and do not concentrate only on one of them.

Karri, thanks for the link, it is amzaing and a confirmation of topics we have been covering in this forum. Nevertheless I am concerned about the statistics showing the using only videos or audios wiht no person really talking a language, you get zero results? How about using LR with presentations in a language no one around you speak? Will they asimmilate something?

I hope if not you, someone would share some lights into what was said in this link.
Thanks.
