What computer to buy for a 20 months old

Hi all,

My laptop is pretty old and does not comply with the minimum standards of Brillkids software. I would like to get a new computer for my 20 month old daughter. Any suggestions in regards to brand and type? I think a desktop is better than a laptop as she likes to throw things on the floor

Thanks

Here are a couple of threads about the same thing. You may find some helpful info on them.

Yep, a laptop would be better if you want to use it for LR, cos you can take it around wherever your daughter is, instead of having to always show her the lessons where the computer is. You could even put the laptop when she’s on the high chair!

That makes sense. Thank you both for your advise!

in additon, if you have a Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer lets you remain in control of your presentation. Conveniently portable and easy-to-use, it frees you from distraction and allows you to focus on what matters most - your presentation.

I use a regular (old) computer for our son. It is set up on a low table where the screen is at his eyes even to it when he’s standing. He often toubhes the space button to make the slides go again. The set up works well, but a lap top would be better.

Did you know you can set the lessons to auto-forward, and in this mode, you can lock up the keyboard with the “Only ESC Key” function so that the keyboard will not respond except to the ESC key to exit? That function was designed for kids banging on the keyboard!
