My DD is almost six months. I had thought we would start at a year, should we start sooner?
K was 6 months old when we started her reading program, but was a year old before we became more consistent.
I started Little Reader with my DD at 8 months of age and flashcards at 1 year of age. I started phonics at 18 months of age with the alphabet sounds, blending at 2.5 years and am now doing more advanced phonics with her at age 4 though she is reading at a grade 1/2 level. My second DD I have started LR at 5 months of age though not very consistently and will probably again start flashcards around a year of age.
