My 14 Month DS is done with his YCBR and gets bored too now. He is currently doing LR and LM too is there anything else I can show him?
There’s always YCCR, the next step up from YBCR. It teaches through more of a phonics approach.
Thank you, I am going to check that out.
Do we have any discount from BK?
No, sorry. I think it’s like $100 for the dvd set.
You can search the forum for some reviews. There are a couple of threads about it.
Ok Thank you
I have’nt done YBCR with my son. He has learnt all the letter sounds and I have started using the fleschcards with him but I think I need more help teaching him how to put the sounds together. Would the YCCR help?
Somehow I don’t think I am doing a good job at this I tried the word factory DVD but that seems to be fast paced.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
I am not sure about the YCCR, I am currently reviewing the forum threads from other members. But YES, YBCR has definately helped my DS
The Leapfrog videos are amazing. That’s how my son learned all the letter sounds.
So YCCR, LR or LeapFrog Video?
Any recommendations?
All 3 lol
They all teach really great things.
You should be able to get the Leapfrog DVDS for pretty cheap off Amazon. You could probably even find a good used copy for really cheap. The letter factory is the one you really want to get.
hmmm…thanks
If your child has completed YBCR , you can get the Monkisee Videos.
The first vidoe they have maybe a review but has some words in there that YBCR does not have. Just a few
The Colors and Shapes videos are excellent. My daughter completed YBCR as well and she LOVES the Shapes video.
Monkisee also has some flashcard DVD’s. Sort of like what you get here on LR but you can slip them onto your TV for them to watch.
I haven’t used YCCR yet. That would be the next step after YBCR though.
Thank youf for your input
