How old (generally) are kids able to visualize quantities? my daughter is almost 19 months and has been doing LR for about 3ish months and i dont’ think she is getting it at all. She only knows her numbers up to 9, and everytime i ask her how many of something are there, the answer is ALWAYS two.

I’ve noticed lots of questions like this over the past couple of years. If you go to the top of this page, there is a search bar. Put in “subitize” which means recognizing quantities on sight. There is a wealth of info and debates on the whole topic. But I think that Doman would probably say to keep at it and not worry about the results. She is probably taking even more that she can verbally process and feedback to you. Eventually you may discover that she has been processing it all quietly. However there is a lot of debate on the topic because kids lose the ability to subitize later even if they were great at it when they were young.
