how to get my LO to get used to the discomfort of pressing down the strings on the fingerboard of violin?

Left-hand pizzicato? Don’t need to press, right?

Or, are you talking about her having to use her left fingers to press position 1, 2, 3 on the fingerboard and then use her right hand to do pizzicato?

i mean the left hand fingers, pressing down on the A string, 1, 2, 3, 4. today she told me that it hurts… :frowning:

I don’t know if there is any remedy but I remember, when I was practicing, it hurt-at the beginning. And later I guess the skin of my fingertip got used to it, and it didnt bother me anymore. I was about 6-7 when I started to learn to play on the violin.
