Tuning Forks

Has anyone had experience using tuning forks to try and teach perfect pitch?
I just got an email from RBK talking about it and they said they have them in their store, but I couldn’t find them. Any ideas where to get some? Or maybe I should just get the piano tuned…

You should be able to get them in any store that sells musical instruments, almost certainly where they sell stringed instruments like the violin or guitar.

tuning forks are fine but they can be hard to hear.

What we use at home is an electronic keyboard. If you get one of these, make sure it’s not an ultra cheap one where the pitch is not correct (toy keyboards often are like that). Brands like Casio make many keyboards and those should have no problem at all.

Or you could get the piano tuned.

Thanks KL. The piano it is! Not my piano, otherwise it would have happened some time ago, but as long as we’re living where it is, better start taking advantage…

Hi.
Have your heard about Tweedle Wink at TTDI? They do sell Tuning Forks. It’s quite costly though… more than RM700 per set.
Tweedle Wink does conduct classes too.
