tone deaf mommy needs files!!

oh dear! tone deaf mommy needs help!
i would love to introduce music to my wee one but i am seriously tone deaf. we listen to all sorts with emphasis on classical (when i can get her to listen to something other than sesame street) but what i would love are more files for teaching about notes and proper sounds/tones. she loves the little reader file for basic notes but i would love more that maybe breaks down simple songs. anyone up for it?? well, it certainly isn’t a demand… more of a request if someone is out there idea.
thanks so much!

I have already made these files to teach pitch and solfege. They are PowerPoint presentations, so maybe somebody can tell us how to convert to LR. I think it is good to hear the slides in order so the scale can be learned so it might not even be necessary to convert. I am getting Little Math very soon, and think these music presentations would be a great warm up to get my kids interested. I sing along when I play these files and my son also tries to sing with me. I plan on making lots more including many different scales.

hi, i hv download your files, but y i cant open up yr files, since its powerpoint , why is it pptx and not ppt?

Hi fruityfruit8
I started a new forum topic to help get a response to your question here
http://forum.brillkids.com/general-discussion-b18/trouble-opening-powerpoint-presentations/new/#new. Let’s wait and see what others have to say about the best solution here.

oh… that’s great! i will download your files and check them out too. as for me singing along to encourage music… well… um… i don’t think my neighborhood would stand for that one :). but i do think it would do my dd a world of good to plant some musical knowledge. i appreciate your help!

I am changing these files to .ppx, there were some other changes I wanted to make anyway. It will take a few hours to be approved, maybe up to a day. octaviaorca, I suggest waiting to download the new files, I have altered the images because I had the tails on some of the notes pointing up instead of down.

octaviaorca,
If you haven’t read this http://forum.brillkids.com/teaching-your-child-music/how-to-teach-your-child-to-sing/ thread I would encourage you to.
