Themed book List

I am always on the lookout for new and exciting books for my daughter…it seems like we read a new book about a dozen times and then A never wants to even see the cover again! It is difficult for me to get to the library, so ours is growing exponentially!
I have actually started a ‘library exchange’ in our neighborhood where other mothers can borrow our books and loan theirs…Hhhmm, this seems a bit one-sided at the moment, but I am thrilled because I feel I am introducing books of different styles and genres that the kids would not otherwise experience! (especially thanks to hubby’s British heritage and A’s love of all things Julia Donaldson!)
Anyway,I came across this list, organized by theme, on theReadingRockets website, very useful:

(if you get a chance,in your 2 spare minutes of free time after LO is in bed and you have finished making all new EL bits for tomorrow, take a look at the following article on why learning to read is ‘unnatural!’

Here’s some more ideas for you!

My kids love these, DD can’t get enough of the skeletons and snakes books lately. They sell them in sets as well. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=national+kids&x=0&y=0#/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=national+readers&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Anational+readers

There are some sets that I have been eying from these sites too–
