Here is a link to the 600 Fry Instant words, which are the 600 most used words in language. I guess they are Dolch words. This same link gives short phrases to teach your children that contain these 600 most commonly used words. The link to the phrases is at the bottom of the page. This is sooooo helpful!!

Thanks for the link. I like that they have the PDF’s to save everything as well. This will come in handy for my power point slideshows.

Thanks for posting. Do you think this same list applies to other languages? For example, would they be the 600 most used words in Spanish?

I don’t know if it would be exactly the same in Spanish. I would think it would be very close. You should Google: “dolch words in Spanish” or “most commonly used Spanish words”.

Let us know what you find out.
