teaching spanish- enseñar castellano

Hello,

For those who teach spanish (specialy to Angeles) I found this web page very interesting:

http://www.rtve.es/infantil/

regards,

Muchas gracias para recomendar esta pagina de web!

The website looks great, Esther. I was just wondering where I could find Spanish children’s shows to supplement our lessons on Spanish days. I have Dora in Spanish but it is not ideal because it is not completely in Spanish. I prefer to use the immersion method as much as possible. Now, the only thing I have to do is hit Google Translate to figure out what all the tabs mean and how to navigate around the site. lol

Thank you!

This looks like a great site, however, when we try to watch a video it doesn’t let it play. It looks like is ready to start, but then nothing happens. Anyone else having this issue?

I am… :(…and it sucks because I wanted to watch Arthur in Spanish,
Quiero mirar Arthur en espanol.

hello

it is true, it does not work…also in Spain…so there must be a problem with the web page. This is the Spain national Tv, this means that I am sure that if you try again, maybe in a couple of days it will work. I use it every day as I teach Engilsh to my doughter regurlarly (there are videos in English and Spanish).

Inicio: start
vídeos y juegos: video and games

regards,

this site looks great. I only wish I could understand it myself

hello,

it works, I try the web again five minuts ago and it works ok, hope this will help.

regards,

I just checked the web out…I tried one of the games but looks to me that is in english more than spanish.I agree with Angeles, it will be nicer to have 100%immersion spanish web.
Thanks a lot for sahring the link anyways.

Hello,

It is true that you have videos in English and Spanish at www.rtve.es/infantil (but you can choose the one you want). I prefer to use this site rather than looking for Spanish videos for children in you tube (sometimes there are so many information). I find it easier.
There is another web page that I use to teach my child to read in Spanish. You will see a icon for English but it is quite common as we all think English is very important and we try to introduce it in a very early age.
There are some free videos and games but you have to subscribe to it or buy the cd’s for all of them. At this present moment I only use the free options as my doughter is too young for some of them but in a near future I will subscribe because
I consider this site a very good one (to learn Spanish).

I give you the link for the promotional videos (split in 5 videos, from 0 to 2, from 3 to 6 years and so on).

and the main page is:

I hope this will helps, let me know if you have more questions about teaching Spanish as I am doing it now with my child and
is easy to me to give you information about it.

regards,

I like PIPO! I am also interested in the Geography and Music CD-ROMs as these have both English and Spanish options. I will have to bookmark this because my daughter is now only beginning to learn how to use a mouse and I am also still limiting her computer time. Thanks once again and karma!

I posted a bunch more sites that I found useful: http://apirateschool.blogspot.com/2011/03/bilingual-kids-resources-for-teaching.html

A very good one!! thanks
