Teaching Skip Counting by 2's

again, in my effort to teach math, I stumbled upon this, and so far skip counting is at dead end cos i have no idea how to make him understand the logic behind this!!!

try using quantitative method. here you can use real things like shells or beads. this would make him understand the theory behind

set up a path with 20 things that are all the same. Tell a story like… we are going on an adventure today and need to reach the num. 20 various times… at the end of our destination there we will reach the moon (you can have an astronaust suit or other costume…) Hence you start the adventure through a story we are going up in a rocket all the way to the moon. There are 20 kilometers on our trip. THe faster we get there the faster we get the grand prize… in order to get there num 1 thing has a task to acomplish… as does 2 -3 4… they suggest skip counting to get to the destination instead.
