Does anyone else find themselves explaining why you use Brillkids or Your Baby Can Read to teach your baby or toddler how to read? What do you say to them when they say that the programs are forcing babies and toddlers to grow up too fast?

Actually, I don’t tell anyone. No one knows what we are teaching my son except my husband. I like to keep it that way to avoid people judging me and not believing me. Also, it keeps people from testing him to find out if he does know. :biggrin: :biggrin:

You’re welcome. As you can see, many of us have the same problems, and we just choose to keep things to ourselves!

I have the same problem. I thought that it was a good idea to share this so others could also enjoy this program (YBCR). Well, my brother in law thinks I want to bore my daugther with all this stuff. Some friends think that this will eventually harm my baby and she will hate reading or studying. I tried to explain them that as long as she enjoys this I will keep offering this programs. Other friends that I have tried to share all this information they refused them and keep asking me if I am sure that I want to do this and giving me so many times their point of view that this is not important to have a sussesful life blah blah blah and I find my self repeating them my reasons. The friends that they believe in early education they keep asking me how much my daugther knows and my daugther does not like to show what she knows and I tried no to let anybody test her but one of them keeps comparing a lot the kids and kids are different. I am glad some of them think alike and my experience with the YBCR program has helped them to make the choice to buy it.

I just bought LM and I am not telling anybody except my husband and a very limited group of friends.

i say kids need to start reading as early as possible its very good for them and it helps them communicate with you and others as well
