Teaching LM with physical cards

I purchased LM but I don’t what to show it to my 4 month old on the computer yet, I prefer start with physical cards first.

How do I print the flashcards from LM, I know I can create my own flashcards using red dots but it will take time and the LM icons look so much more interesting?

How do I show my baby the cards, do I show them exactly in the sequence of LM?

I am not sure you can print from LM.
What I did was purchase some big index cards and stuck colorful stickers on them and wrote the number on the back and laminated them.
In LM you can view the numbers in forward, backward or random order. I usually switch it up so he does not get too bored. The amount of numbers you show your baby can depend on their attention span. I started with 0 to 10. When I review all the numbers with my baby I show him in forward order.

I started at 4 months with physical flashcards thought I had LM. Because I was in countryside and offline. At 7 months we returned to city and I continued with LM and did not use papers anymore.

What I did. I printed up to 40 black dots on A4. See attached file. It is possible to place up to 40 dots on A4. I have black and white A4 printer only. Kids up to at least 9 months do not need much entertainment and black dots are very OK.

Within 3 months, I showed quantities and started equations. Quantities are very easy to show with physical cards, much easier as with PC because you can show in bed, after each diaper change etc. But it becomes hard with equations. So I switched to LM happily.

I followed Doman’s recommendations with two sets, dot size etc.

Good luck! Start today.

Thanks for the ideas Mela1 and Frukc.

In order to use LM you have to be connected to internet?
What about LR?

2010BEBES,

You do not need to be connected online to use LM or LR.
If you are not connected to the internet the only thing you do not see when the programs are open is on the right side of the screen the BrillKid Forum News + Announcements.
Once you download the programs and input the sessions you do not need the internet to access and use the programs.

You will need to be connected to download the curriculum and updates, but you don’t need to be connected to use it after that.
