This is a great idea for the preschool age children. Actually my 8 yr old could even benefit from a weather journal. Maybe I could even get some of those kids weather kits and make a whole summer project out of it.

I made up pictures (using scrapbook paper) depicting the weather. The intention is to use them with my 3 year old in the mornings (or throughout the day if the weather changes). He’ll pick the appropriate picture, put it up on the fridge and find & post the matching word with it.
