without sounding thick what is LR? I too have been using flash cards with my little one for some time now and he too picked it up straight away from around the same age but i have not heard of LR before… Also congratulations

Hearty congratulations mirra.Very good job.My boy is 8months now but i dint test him with flash cards.I started early education when he was 3 months and he is able to recognise quantities,spatial domain like up,down,right and left,then some of the areas where i take him for a walk,and he recognises many things at home like mirror,sunflower,fridge,tv,computer,ac,bag,table,chair,calendar etc…, .I’m afraid to test him with word cards and number cards.I understand he is really interested in flash cards but i dont know if this is the right time to test him!!!

congats! that sure was amazing… at 5 months he was sooo confident in his answers. i know the doman program is great and all but at 5 months…most babies just look away. did you do something else mirra??? pls share the secret :biggrin:

Ariel, the secret is – of course Glen Doman method, but that given in such a way that is not boring to child. So that child keeps wanting more n more to learn. I used to do lots and lots of pampering before and after sessions. One time I forgot, and he signed me such that he wanted me to pamper him… hehehe…
After the session - each session - we should say your are a brilliant boy, you are a good boy, and we should say with so much smiles, as if grinning - so his face should appear as if he is proud that he actually learnt…
plus lots of toys = while playing we can gv choice and ask him to identify the colors, and lots of socialising - going to friends or relatives house is once in 2 week ends. alternative weekends, going and visiting nature, zoo, touching plants, taking to beach, take him to toy shops, etc., when you take him to toy shop you should buy only those that he smiles so much at, and wants so much.
plus tons and tons of love. baby shouldnt cry at all, baby can cry only to sign he needs some food, or water. else should be so comfortable.
PS: I started giving him only one session of little reader and one session of little math a day. This will make him always thirsty to learn more. when i showed him 2 times, he wasnt attentive both times. but now he is so attentive because he knows he can get to see session ONLY ONCE.
Even if you show the baby flash cards or any method, the method must be shown intelligently such that sessions are less - so no burden for us or child - and so much in random order and new material introduced often.
These ways like, LR or LM, plus toys and giving happiness and keeping our faces - both parents, grand parents - always smiling and happy — so that child is happy, I feel grooms the child.
Would be great if LR has alpha wave stimulation music, and postive attitudes teaching. I think it would come in sem 2.

I am a web developer/designer and dont have much time to teach 20 plus sessions a day. so I made extensive search and landed here. Then once I was confident I purchased the software.
