Steps to teach using flash cards

Hi all,

I have 21 month old son and started using the flash card system to teach him. I started with animals, birds…He’s showing much interest while i’m showing the cards.

But, I’m wondering how long should I show the cards? and What are the other cards can I show him?

Could anyone help me in giving step by step for fusing lash card method…of teaching ?

have you read this??? http://www.brillbaby.com/teach-baby/reading-flash-cards.php

Dear Sangamithra77 & Everyone,

After reading the link that Joha provided, you may want to read through the threads here > http://forum.brillkids.com/teaching-your-child-to-read/

For the Doman method, it is best that you read Mr. Glenn Doman’s book, How to Teach Your Baby to Read, 40th Anniversary Edition for the details.

In short, there are some brief descriptions here - and not a substitute for the book!:

And you can also download a schedule for Step 1 Words that will help you with planning. It was designed for use with Little Reader software that is very easy to use and flexible - you can show only words (Doman method) or add pictures/sounds for multi-sensory learning that is based on Dr. Robert Titzer’s method and his Your Baby Can Read program. (I use both methods). You can also print out flashcards if you want paper versions.

There is also another schedule by Mrs. Judy Mendes for many Doman programs, including Reading, that is helpful as well:

Little Reader Software:

The great thing about Little Reader software - besides children loving it - is that you can download materials that other parents have created and it saves you time! And who does not need more of that?!?

Please feel free to ask any other questions! Everyone here is so helpful!
