Starting Little Math

Hi All,

I am so glad that I found this forum. I downloaded the Little Math trail version and was looking at it. But I am not sure how to start with my 13 month old. Can somebody guide me as to how to use the little math?

Hi Sonal,

First, go here, scroll to bottom, and download the ebook “Teaching with Little Math”:
http://www.brillkids.com/teach-math/index.php

Next, all you really need to do is to follow the curriculum.

Go to the PLAYBACK screen, select Day 1, and press PLAY!

Thanks for the info. As you said I downloaded the ebook and read it. Today was the first day of the trail version. I showed the Day 1 lessons but it took less then 5 minutes. How many times do I have to show each day sessions? After how many sessions should I test my son?

Sorry for the late reply - missed this thread!

How many times depends on your child’s attention span. The curriculum assumes just once each session, 2 sessions a day, 5 days a week.

btw, we do not recommend ‘testing’ (Glenn Doman specifically says that we should not, as it may take the joy out of learning). You might want to play games (make it fun!) with your son though, eg., printing out dots, putting some on the floor and seeing if he can choose the right one.
