Starting a home education co-op

Has anyone started their own home school group or co-op? In KY where I live we don’t have a co-op, the closest one is 40 minutes away. Does anyone have any tips on how to start one. Also we are starting a home education resource library for thos in our community. Has anyone else sarted a library?

Are you very sure that one doesn’t already exist? I can’t imagine that they would make themselves very easy to find. If you’ve checked, I’d be curious what resources you did check. We might be interested in looking into this sometime in the next few years ourselves.

I have checked with the the homeschool association for KY, and nope there isn’t one that I know of. I checked with the advocate of homeschool for my state, and with the local libraries, and with other homeschool groups. There is one but it is only for the church members that go to that church, it is a private group. but I want ours to be a public group. I checked with CHEK, and HSLD.

Berea in Madison County as far as I have found out doesn’t have one unless it is a private one.

But anyway to be honest the town close to use which is about 30-45 minutes away has tons of groups.

And as far as I know there is only 1 other homeschool library and it is private only to the church, only the members can use the library.
