I have a 6 yr old daughter with DS. I am contemplating getting LR for her. I have looked at the scholarship application and will apply for it but had heard you had to be a part of the forum for a month before discounts would be given. Is that the case? If so i will need to wait several weeks cuz just found this program and site last week. Pls let me know what you know about that. Thx!

Thank you for asking. Early Education for Every Child Foundation provides scholarship for special needs children, and every application is reviewed on case to case basis.
There is no time requirement for forum participation, and some of our applicants never even been a part of BK community (of course, I would like to add to this that you can benefit tremendously from experience that other parents share on this forum :yes: )
We do ask parents to document their progress with the programs, so we can share it with other parents and so we can see how we can better serve families. However the progress report is not burdensome, and just a few occasional observation, photos or videos, work as a progress report.
I would encourage you to apply for scholarship and we will work with you, taking into consideration your individual circumstances.
Hi! Thank you for the clarification Skylark. I’m browsing the forum as to exactly when I can apply for the scholarship for my little monster. We are currently enjoying the trial! He’s 17 months adjusted and still non verbal but he let’s me know for sure if he’s lessons are done. He gets maaaad! Mommy’s just excited to see my usual very mild mannered and mellow baby show some spunk! His hypotonia somehow plays a role in his mellow personality but he sure loves lesson time. I’m gathering paperwork to apply for the scholarship 'cos he’ll be heartbroken when the free trial expires. Thank you so much brillkids for this blessing!
Thank you, Skylark. I have heard about the special needs discount as well, and we are also enjoying the trial. We’re just a few days in and getting the hang of it. It is crazy to think she is already recognizing some of the words? I do believe she is. Nice variety of pictures too!
