Spanish on youtube???

I’m fluent in 3 languages. English, Malay(national language) and Tamil (Indian language), but my 21 and 9 month old are only learning how to read in English, although they understand the other 2 spoken languages perfectly well.

I’m interested in getting them to learn Spanish and since I do not know this language, I did try going on youtube to check it out. I wanted a little exposure to see if they are interested in this new language. Unfortunately there are tonnes of videos on Spanish For Children that I’m now a little confused :frowning:

Are there any good videos on youtube that you guys can recommend? I’ve tried Boca Beth, but the sound quality is muffled.

You may want to try searching for Little Pim Spanish:

Or Whistlefritz:

If you go to youtube and type in WILBOOKS SPANISH they have very nice presentations/flash cards. They have it in English too (not sure about other languages). Example:

It´s very professionally done with excellent pictures and clear pronunciation. They have colors, animals, wild animals, zoo animals, talking books and other topics. I believe this is what helped my son have a breakthrough in color recognition. Hope you find it helpful.

Very nice, Bebita! Thanks and karma!

Bebita… thanks for this. My daughter is already quite good with Spanish… but this is really good.

For some weird reason, I never saw the answers to this post, till NOW!!!
Thank you, Thank you!!! such good info.
Bebita, great video! shall start tomorrow morning STAT! K to you, my friend!

This is a little off-topic, but I wanted to ask Bebita or anyone else who might know: do you know where I can get DVDs of Las Tres Mellizas BEBES in Spanish? My daughter simply loves them! And I think they are pretty effective for language learning since the episodes are short, the storylines are simple, and they reinforce vocabulary at the end of each episode with a song and list of words. I can only find 3 videos of them on youtube.

Thanks in advance!

I am bringing this topic up as I think bebita’s answer is helpful for those who teach spanish.
My baby started to ask for whistlefritz dvd and today she was actually laughting and using spanish words while watching. Sadly we have only little pim and one whistlefritz dvd so I was looking for some inspiration on the forum. Little Pim is also great and DD uses some words she learnt from panda
I don’t speak spanish myself but I used to work in spanish restaurant so my pronunciation is quite good - I just have no idea what I am saying lol .

please add more sources here.

A little bit of shameless self promotion here for my youtube channel: www.youtube.com/mindymarissa The songs are really wonderful, simple and easy to understand. They are not mine so I can’t take credit. I just did the video. The singer, Miss Rosi, has many many more songs with a few on Amazon and iTunes. I am planning to make more when I find the time. Ha ha. Here is one of the videos:

try the Chiquivideo series, they’re cute and promote good moral values. My two year old has watched them many many times. You can find them by doing a serach for “chiquivideo” on youtube.
