Singapore math

Hello - I am full of maths questions at the moment - feeling a bit confused by all the options

Several people have mentioned following the Singapore math curriculum - looking on the website there seem to be several different books (textbook, workbook and essential math)

Do you use them all or just one? Is the textbook enough on its own?

Thanks very much

Well depends. If your just starting out the Kindergarten math is just workbooks.
If you get into levels 1 and up. You need both the textbook and workbook.
Some people can get away with just the textbook and work together ( if your using it with a young child) but if your using it with an older child that can write, definitely you need both.

Hope that clears it up for ya.

I’m not using Singapore math, but I read somewhere that if you were trying to accelerate your child through an area (particularly if you were filling in gaps not learning new material), that doing just the textbook together was the way to go. I just kept that idea in case we ever do Singapore math, which I am leaning towards. Hoping someone will come here and give some reviews as it applies to young children.
