Shichida School Commercial / Youtube Clips

I have not seen this before and wow, I know they flashed fast, but I didn’t know it was THIS fast!

Most interesting to me is that they successfully perfect pitch and this video demonstrates they also incorporate color. I knew there was something to the connection of color/note/frequency and this just confirms it even deeper. There is some super fast physical card flashing of notes while the piano is played as well a little later in the clip. I think they are singing solfege at the end, too.

Anyway, there are lots of fun things to look at on their youtube channel. Google Chrome translates everything into english as much as possible. I am home today sick along with the kids, so we are basically glued to the couch and pitifully sniffling around the house all day. lol BUT that means I find all kinds of cool random junk on the internet, like their youtube page that I had not really seen before.

Sorry to hear you and the LOs are poorly :frowning: Hope you all get better soon ((((hugs))))

Big thanks for the videos! If that’s what they call right brain flashing then WOW, and Shichida are the experts at this stuff. I try to use flashing with LM but way slower than this. And it can be a bit of a challenge keeping Dougie engaged although at the minute he’s into it because he’s trying to teach himself math addition/subtraction facts, with a little help from me  Would you suggest speeding up the flash rate and see how he responds? His frustration with it seems to be that he hasn’t enough time to proces at the current speed so not sure how he’ll feel about lightening fast lol no harm in trying I suppose.

yeah, give it a shot, who knows, right?

I came across this today, it’s an official Shichida video to teach English. I wasn’t sure, but at the end the credits state that it was indeed supervised by Makoto Shichida. Clearly, if you are reading this forum most likely speak english already…or you are like me and rely on Google Chrome to autotranslate foreign websites. BUT, I share it so that you can get an idea of what their materials are like and get a feel for it (and potentially seek other materials that are similarly styled in other languages.) If nothing else it was interesting to watch a bit of it!

And here’s a peek into the introduction of a Shichida Class…Welcome song and date/weather from the best I can tell.

http://v. youku.com/v_show/id_XMjA4MTExMTgw.html A tour of a shichida facility kids area starts at about 1:30, I just had to laugh as she patted the padded walls. Don’t we all need 'em? haha

I am fascinated by this because it’s such a mystery to me. It’s all so hush hush secretive, that any glimpse into the world of Shichida is a rare treat!
