I have been working on reading specifically for 2.5 months so far, but I have also shown 4 months of Signing time. My daughter 18 mo old and she loves to talk. She has practiced so much that she speaks nearly 200 words and at least 100 words very clearly. I think her affinity for talking is why we saw results with her so quickly. Sometimes her twin brother is interested in the lessons and other he isn’t. He isn’t much on talking either. (I discussed more details previously in this thread here http://forum.brillkids.com/teaching-your-child-to-read/she-is-reading!!!/msg25447/#msg25447 ) I wanted to illustrate how the exact same teaching routines have resulted in very different progress between two different individuals.
