Russian early learning resources

Hello all

I’m thinking about buying Brillkids in Russian too but until we can afford it I would like to find some youtube videos or flashcards so my daughter gets a bit of exposure to the languages and I see whether she likes it.
I don’t speak Russian, I can understand a few words because I know other slavic languages, and I can read it veeeery slowly. I can’t write at all. That’s why I need your help
What have you been using to teach reading and the Russian language apart from LR?
Any ideas will be very welcome!

Do you have the Little Reader Pro already? If so, you will be able to use resources from our free library, while you are waiting to buy the course… You can also expose your child to songs, cartoons, videos in Russian…

No, I don’t have it  pity

Hey, AnotherBookWorm ,
Glad to hear that you are going to study Russian with your child.
How old is your child? Try watching these Doman-inspired videos with him/her https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc8-WmjZ6Oc&list=PL_1V7bujd2sdphU_r6tXsbOtwJjNXQgdg (there are 5 parts, all in one play-list) Those are for babies aged 6 months ad up.
Here are some flash-cards https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXeVQ3SP9LQ&list=PL1F4DFFE50FEAE7C2
Hope that helps. Feel free to ask me any questions. I’d be glad to help;)

Have you seen Kids Stuff Russian: Easy Russian Phrases for You and Your Kids by Therese Pirz? That may get you started until you can afford something better.

Be careful with russian - it is a very difficult language.
