Russian DVDs?

Has anone got any good dvds for Russian. I love Pim, but am reluctant to buy it since they have transliterated all the words (and some really badly at that  ).

I came across http://dinolingo.com/languages/russian.html but they only have the English version to sample. I still think it would be fun, but it doesn’t look as good as Pim as it is completely animated.

Anyone else used other products? I can’t afford Muzzy

We do watch some real Russian cartoons on youtube, but they just don’t hold his attention in the same way as specific language learning programs - I think they are too ‘busy’.

Thanks!

I believe Wink to Learn is planning to release their “Speak and Read Russian” DVDs this year. Don’t know the definite launch date, though.

Wow! That would be so great - we LOVE Wink

We love all Wink to Learn products too! And I agree with you about Little Pim - the French and Spanish ones are really good, but I did not get the Chinese and Japanese ones for the same reason as yours.

These are probably your best bet.

Dear MummyRoo,

Good news! Our product development partner (Globibo) had gave us the green light for the Russian DVDs. We are expecting to release the Speak & Read Russian 4-DVDs by early August. I had attached the preliminary cover image for your early preview.

This series is done in collaboration with our partner as well as very experienced Russian translators and interpreters. Similiar to our other European languages.

If you are keen, please drop us an email @ customerservice@winktolearn.com and we will keep you in the loop once the program is available.

Yes, we use Umnitsa DVDs and we like them very much. The only drawback is ordering from them, we had lots of trouble and ended up getting it locally in Russia and shipping it here through the friend. As far as content and quality - I would definitely recommend that!

I have already sent the link to my son’s father in Russia  It’s much easier and I’ll get him to send it over. I agree that their international orders are a bit awkward. But the products look great - I want them all lol

I am also excited about the Wink dvds  We love the Chinese (or Kalu, as my son calls it) and Japanese.
