Right Brain Leaning Curriculum for older children

Hi, I am a homeschool mom of four children. I have a 12 year old dd that is very much a right brain learner. Does anyone know of information about this for older kids; blogs. curriculum, website, etc?

Thanks,

Sandy

That would be Right Brain Kids

Yes, they have some neat stuff but my daughter is 12. She was recently dx with dysgraphia and learns and memorizes better with pictures.

Right brain education is usually recommended for younger kids because of the early dominance of the right brain. This later shifts towards the left brain. However, you can still do right brain development for older children and with adults. The results will not be as marked and it will require more work.

Righ Brain Kids have the Wink program which is indicated from 4 years to adults. A lot of right brain activities from Heguru and Shichida have also been known to help improve adults (for instance, mothers who attended classes with their children found their memories improving).

I have a few articles on these activities on my blog you are welcome to take a look at:

I am currenlty working with children of 12 years of age as well with similiar challenges. For the right brain area to enhance it believe it or not I work on the math, thinking, processes, and ordering content areas, like using pictures. Putting things in order, rearranging things, puzzle play and more hands on then a specific curricula. There are some things that you can do to develop the right brain regarding providing the right nutrients to the brain as well. We even cut out and make quits. If you want to know more you are welcome to PM me for it can get a little overwhelming at first to find the right nik to begin with.
