Reading Resources from www.childandme.com

Dear All,

I have seen the following site mentioned in other posts (about math), and wanted to devote a topic to those of us beginning to teach our children to read. Because many parents are busy, it is very helpful to see the five steps with resources already available:

Thank you for this site  I’ve been wondering how to start and this has helped!

Dear Ellieamazing & All,

Your welcome. The sister sites of BrillKids forum is packed full of information as well > http://www.brillbaby.com/ + http://www.brillkids.com/ .

And the IAHP Reading Kits are great as well:

Happy Reading!

Dear Ellieamazing & All,

I also found Mrs. Perkins Dolch Words site to be very useful for each of the five steps described in Mrs. Doman’s How to Teach Your Baby to Read.

On the site, there are words, phrases and books. You can easily create couplets and sentences as well.

Enjoy!
