My husband discovered this app this morning and I wanted to give a shout-out for it. It’s really cool! The software is free and comes with a few songs and then you pay $15 for more. You can either play it on the the iPad piano setting, or use their microphone recognition software, put it on your piano, and play. It recognizes pitch, so you can sing the melody as well. There is a practice mode that you have to play the right note correctly before it will move on, and a performance mode where it chugs along kind of like guitar hero. It is limited to one octave, but that’s a good place for beginners to start anyway. If you have an iPhone or iPad, or whatever else you can use apps on these days, check it out! The graphics are funny, it’s an old lady killing germs on her grand piano.
