Check out the help section that answers this question. You need a program called bootcamp on your MAC. Hope this helps. Amelia
How do i get it? Is it expensive? Will it take up loads of memory space? tks
Mac Book Pro is Intel based, which means it would work with Bootcamp Mac program ( it will actually already be preloaded and incorporated in there if you have Snow Leopard, so the Bootcamp will be free) you would need to get Windows Operating system though. Te price of that would depend on which Windows OS you would get.
Here is the link that will help you to get all the information that you need about the Bootcamp and how to use it ( including how to chose the version of Windows that would work best for you): http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
I use Bootcamp with Windows installed as a second OS on my Mac Book Pro specifically for a few programs that I need Windows OS to operate. It works great for me. It does not use much space, since I only use it for a few programs and specific purposes and do most of my file storing and work on MAC. Plus Mac has pretty large Hard drive, so it does not make a big difference to have it in that respect.
In my personal experience it works great for me, and DEFINITELY WORTH IT IN ORDER TO RUN LITTLE READER AND LITTLE MATH. I just put my computer in Windows mode, do educational activities for my kids and then switch it back to MAC mode. I have a few other programs that have to have Windows in order to use them as well…
Hope it helps
