Math program mentioned on the Forum

I’ve forgotten what this was called, but I saw it here. I think there was a YouTube video from England, and they had these little rubber/plastic pieces with holes cut out of them, one “hole” per number. There were using it in a school to teach math.

Does anyone remember the name of this?

Numicon? I quite liked the idea and created my own DIY set.

It was Numicon! Thanks a lot, the name slipped my mind and I couldn’t find it on web searches by describing it.

Karma to you!

LMsMum, I would love to see pictures!!!

Something weird happened to my previous post, some odd letters, which had not been there, appeared in it.

L&O’s Mom, I will take the pictures. They will probably make you smile.

I’d love to see them! Looking forward to your next post LMsMum:)

Hi LMsMOm, I would like to see the pictures too…eagerly waiting for u to post…

Hello L&O’s Mum, kizudo and mirra. I am attaching the pics. Sorry it took me a while, LM is having another nasty ear infection. I hope you are not too dissapointed as they are quite rough-and-ready and made from egg cartons!

I also put a short post about them on my blog:

@ LMsMum super. thanq for the info. Karma to you…

Great idea! Super simple and inexpensive and does the same thing Numicon does!

What did you use to color them?

Thank you mirra and Ouroboros1!

I used Crayola paints (http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/childrens-gifts/crayola-washable-ready-mix-paint-4-pack--reviews.asp).

As I only had four primary colours, I experimented mixing and diluting them to achieve a variety of colours.
