LM in swedish

Hi,
Is there anyone who have translated little math to Swedish? I would like to use little math with my girl who is 2 years and 7 month. We only speak Swedish with her so I guess that using Swedish would be best. How long time does it take to translat the whole little math program?
I’m all so interested in using little reader, is it possible to translate all the words and the sound in this program or should I look for another program?

I also wonder about another thing, I starten with Domans flash cards (math) when she was about 1,5 year old but have had a gap of not doing any math at all for serveral month, do I start from the begining?

Tank you for your help!
Bellan

Hi Bellan,

I think we don’t have any Swedish word or sound sets for Little Math in the library yet, but you can easily create your own, if you like!

It’s actually easier to translate Little Math lessons because you just need to do a few things:

  1. Create a word set and a sound set for the language you want to teach
  2. Apply your new word and sound sets using the Override function (this will apply the settings to all your lessons, once you’ve turned Override ON)

Please refer to these articles for instructions

As for Little Reader, we don’t have a “Swedish” category in the library yet, but you’ll find some Swedish files in LR’s Foreign Language Downloads > Others. Here’s a direct link: http://forum.brillkids.com/downloads/?cat=110

About your last question, you may simply start from the beginning. Even if your daughter already knows something from what you taught her before, it’s not really a problem if she sees the same lesson again. In fact it might be helpful as a review for her, especially since you mentioned that you weren’t able to use your flash cards with her for quite a few months.

Thank you for the answer
Have a happy holiday season!
