Lesson Planner to Share Lessons

I am a vetran homeschooler of a 16 y/o. 15 months ago we were blessed with an oops baby, which has sent me recollecting educational material and planning for my DS’s present and future education. In the process, I discovered Brillkids/Doman/Right Brain Education etc. My 15 month old has a vocabulary of probably 100 words and is learning them at a rate of 3-5 new ones a day. I suspect it will soon explode. He recognises about 30 reading words right now. I am convinced it is this method of teaching not that he is bright - which he is, of course, because I am his mommy, but I think he is just a normal kid.

What I’ve discovered is that we are collecting so much material, ideas and resources that I’m having a hard time systematically organizing it and I forget what I have. Last night I discovered this wonderful site: http://www.homeschoolskedtrack.com . It is a free lesson planner for homeschoolers. The great thing about it is that you can share your lessons with others. You can export files and send it to a friend. It will keep track of grades and print transcripts for those of you who are planning to homeschool long term. There is another planner here:http://planbookedu.com/ . This one has two versions: free with limited capability and hardly worth it for what I want, and cheap $25 a year but available cheaper with a group discount. This one is great because it lets you post all your lesson plans publicly and attact media files. It is meant for a classroom instruction, but I think it could be modified for what I’m envisioning.

Is there anyone out there who is willing to use either Homeschool Skedtrack or some other software, that will allow us to readily share ideas, plans and those who are vetrans at early education can help us newbies along by letting us know how they planned and organized their children’s material. I am infinitely impressed by Marta and her blog here: http://earlylearning-eaton.blogspot.com. She doesn’t know it but I’m practically a stalker. She has given me many wonderful ideas on how to implement early education. Her results speak for themselves.
