Okay, I have exactly zero idea where this should officially be posted!
I bought the Scholastic series called Parts of Speech Tales, Punctuation Tales, and Grammar Tales…will post links at end for anyone interested…
So I actually wasn’t impressed at the time, but have since read them to Alex and she ADORES them…and has learned SOmuch from them… Quickly identifying parts of speech and punctuation effortlessly! In fact, the knowledge has greatly enhanced her comprehension and prosody as when she sees a question mark, she exaggerates the inflection quite comically, and seems to have figured out intonation, and lots more!!"
I think these could be extremely useful for kids about 18 months and up…in fact, I recently read a study on how tea hing kids to read with exaggerated inflection, pronunciation, all elements of prozodic reading greatly enhance ability and comprehension…
So the question is? Can Imake these into a LR file? FYI, included in the set is a workbook, miniature versions of the stories that you are encouraged to reproduce for student work!
Any ideas?
If you aren’t willing to wait, here they are on Amazon, and it seems most libraries have at least some of them!
