Late-starter Mom

Hi Everyone, I’m Bee-bee’s Mommy. New and Panicking. Little bee-bee will be 9 months on Monday and I’m ashamed to say I haven’t really done much with her. My parents took care of her until she was 6 months. They did an excellent job playing with her and stimulating her little mind. Then Mommy takes over and I had no clue how to play/teach at the same time except for silly dancing and singing. (Which I guess is better than nothing). My mom (who is now living in the Philippines) was reminding me to teach her things, even though she doesn’t respond right away. So, I searched the internet, got to this website, and panicked. Bee-bee and I will have a late start but I’m still thankful that websites like this exist. I love the information and the free downloads  Languages too! When we’re up and running (Baby and I) we’re exploring the different languages as well. I’m glad I stumbled on to this website before she turned 3.

Hi and welcome to the forums. It is good to have you here! Don’t worry, 9 months is still very early! Many parents are just starting with their children at that age, or even older. Your daughter will learn so much, it will amaze you! There are many parents here who share their different teaching methods, so you can learn of many wonderful ways to stimulate your baby. And silly dancing and singing are great ways to stimulate your child. Everything comes from love. If you are being silly and happy, your daughter will pick up on it.

And by the way, my son just turned 9 months, so if you need to talk about anything, let me know!
I hope to see you around!

Hi!
I think I am also ‘late starter’… but better late than never:) My son is also nine months… it is good to start something new and exiciting. Just started showind Franek dots (maths teaching) and he is getting more and more excited. Planning to start with teaching Polis and English soon… it seems to me that it is quite a lot of preparation… but fun fun!
Good luck!!!

9 months is not late at all - it’s still very early!!!

Thanks! I just downloaded some flashcards so we’ll see how we do on that. I was thinking of starting with the dots.
