Lapbooking for Homeschooling

I found this site very interesting and fun. I plan on using lapbooking for homeschooling high school.

I think that lapbooking is a great learning tool. We will be doing tons of them, I’m sure!

Another great wonderful site is homeschoolshare http://www.homeschoolshare.com/

Thanks for posting this link. I’ve been trying to think of new ideas on how to make our homemade books. I have a ton of manila folders and considered cutting them up and using them, but still wasn’t sure how to bind the books. I’m going to try out the last option on the page, maybe I’ll cut them in half first. Thanks, again!

There are also tons of blogs out there about lapbooking. Parents/children get pretty creative.

Thanks. I have been searching for some free templates. Does anyone have them as a pdf or word doc? I like using templates so I will not have to cut, and the older students can use them easier. I found some but they are smaller then what I like.

this blogger (http://totallytots.blogspot.com/) does some that you can just download… i forget how old her eldest is but they range in age from toddler to 1st or 2nd grade. that’s an interesting idea to do it for your high schooler though. kind of jeffersonian and an artistic approach… i hadn’t even thought that far down the road but i can totally see how that would engage someone older.

just google lap books and you will find a ton of resources. some you have to pay a minimal fee for and some you don’t. also, search through the totally tots sight and you also find her other 1+1+1. she does have some great ideas for her bebes.

thanks that was a great site. I am checking it out now. We just created for my toddler a lapbook on grasshoppers. He helped as much as he could on it. I hope to have a pic soon.
