Will we be able to change the speed at which the cards flash at? I have a feeling there will be much disagreement over what speed that should be.

If you’re referring to the upcoming Little Math, then yes, there is a speed control slider similar to Little Reader. However, it’s still difficult to get to very rapid flashing.
If you really want to flash rapidly, I would suggest doing what I suggested here:
Is there any possibility of shortening the dead space prior to the pronounciation? Another related question I have is would it be possibile to some just cut out the spoken part of the audio file you created and paste it to a file or delete any extranous audio before or after the spoken section to make it shorter (thus a more rapid flash)? I know you can delete extraneous sound but then what ever time period had that sound remains on the file just a silence.
The problem with dead space is that it’s hard to get rid of silence in the AUDIO FILES themselves. Try it - use EVR or any other audio editor to remove the gap in the beginning. Save it and open it again - the gap re-appears. I think it’s something standard that audio editors do. If you can find an editor which does not do that, please let us know!
That’s why the best thing is to manually advance the slides yourself and to pronounce the words yourself using the ‘preview’ feature.
That’s what EVR is for. You can easily edit sound files and cut out the dead space before and after recordings.
KL, I use NCH wavepad. Have you guys tried it? I just edited a couple of files, and the dead space stayed gone, just the way I edited it. I think I am understanding you right? I think NCH has free trials for all of their products.
I don’t think audacity keeps the dead space. You can highlight the part you want to keep and save just that. I am pretty sure it works that way and it is free.
