To commemorate Self Defense Awareness month, Crime Prevention Specialist Susan Bartelstone has an interview with Irene van der Zande, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International, on her Crime Prevention 101 Radio Show.
Susan honors Kidpower as one of the “best self-defense and personal safety programs around” and gives listeners the opportunity to hear Irene’s story of the incident that inspired her to start Kidpower, some of the ways that Kidpower helps people with special life challenges, and some tips for parents and other caring adults on how to teach safety skills to the children in their lives.
