It is too late to start my 5 year old daughter on the program

I have a 5 year old daughter with DS I havent start to teach her to read I really dont know where to start a friend told me about this program but right now I cant afford it :frowning: I’m saving hopefully by the end of the year we can do it, any tips on what to do on the meantime?

You can apply for a sponsorship from the Brillkids foundation.
Brillkids offer a sponsorship to parents with limited means. Special considerations are granted to parents of special need children.

If you are eligible, you may get LR/LM for free or at a good discounted rate!!!

You can also check with the schools or county special needs programs. A lot of times they have resource libraries with books, flashcards, and software to check out.

I didn’t start LR with my son till he was 4.5 years old and he was able to learn LOTS. He is now 6.5 and learning tons from LMs. I guess it depends on the child though. My little guy loves it, but my 5 year old step daughter could not really care less.
