We’re doing the research and finding out the cost, and really considering making a brachiation ladder for our 2 yr 4 mo old and unborn baby. We have a very small apartment, so it will take up a lot of room in our daughter’s bedroom. We will totally do it if it’s worth it and our kids will get a lot of use out of it though.
Would you say it was worth making a brachiation ladder, worth the cost and space, and your kids use it enough?
It is also in the back of the “How to teach your baby to be physically superb” book. I haven’t made one yet, but hope to soon as it is getting cold & it would be a good indooor activity to get started on. We have done hanging, but not brachiating so far.
It is part of the course but I am sure you can buy that booklet by itself, just call (215) 233-2050 ask to be transfer to the store they will help you.
Waterdreamer - I bought my Glenn Doman books on amazon.com You can also buy them through Glenn Doman’s website Gentle Revolution. If I can figure this out I am going to post the plans at the back of the book for the brachiation ladder.
My husband just built the hanging bar. He said that the instructions are not very good. He had to make some adjustments to make it work. He has not yet built the brachiation ladder, but is planning to do that next week - hopefully!
We made the doorway hanging bar too, is that the one you are talking about? We need to fix it because the dowel spins around in the bracket thing, so I have to hold onto the bar on either side while my daughter holds on. Is that what yours does? My husband says he’s going to make the dowel ends square to keep it from spinning. What did your husband do?
Yes, ours also spins and it is currently a 2-person thing to let her hang, one to support her and one to hold the bar. He is going to make a wooden bar and attach it somehow, I’m not sure yet because that fix-it project is not yet complete.
It’s smaller than Doman’s ladder, but it is plenty big for a toddler. We will be building a larger one when he gets older, and keep this one for our younger children.
The company specialising to some extent of their services to help families access resources for their children affordably by providing some of the most useful items on the market from time to time like Brachiation ladder. I got one from them :), very pleased. I put it over my sofa inside kids room … hah, they covered it with a sheet and now they are using it also as a hiding place , it become like a hobby for them brachiating. What can I say, it has become their favourite place in the entire house.
It turn to be such great thing to have it at home as they are so much happier and I read that its extremely recommended from therapists of the early child development phase to become physically strong and healthy.
You can’t imagine what this Brachiation Ladder can do for you At Home…
I asked them to build it as well and they did it for me at the time of delivery.
