My baby girl is now 5 months and 2 weeks… recently, i observed that she always trying to put all her fingers inside her mouth and biting her lower lips. Thou she doesnt cry or feel discomfort… should i still give her a teether? how would it really help? does it help to make the teeth grow nicer/ positioned evenly? or it’s just something that would soothe her?
Teethers are one of the tools to help your baby cope with teething.
I read from a book that it is also advised to chill your baby’s teethers in the refrigerator to give them added soothing powers.
You can also give some firm teething biscuits to gnaw on. These can be very messy, but some babies find them delightful.
And don’t worry about crooked teeth in the first few years. They don’t necessarily indicate the way your baby’s permanent teeth will look.
If you are breastfeeding you can make “momsicles” that would feel good on a teething baby’s gums. Cold vegies when your baby is old may also feel good.
