Is it important to show different fonts?

I’m wondering if it is important to show different fonts when teaching my 32 month old to read. Is it better to just stick to one font while teaching so as not to confuse and then introduce different fonts later once reading is more established?

I tend to flash from one font, but I notice different books have different fonts. So some letters look different. Is reading the different books enough of an exposure to different fonts or should I be flashing them differently also?

You should try to mix it up so your child is exposed to all the different ways letters can be written.
