Is it enough?

do you think that using LR and LM twice a day is enough? What are you experiences? Can your baby read or do maths just by following that rule?
Thank you

It doesn’t hurt to do more. I also use Sidney Ledson’s book “Teach Your Child to Read in Just Ten Minutes a Day”
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1412015545?ie=UTF8&tag=doallshoppingcom&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1412015545. Even though it is for two and up, you can also use some of the ideas for younger kids. It’s a phonics program where you slowly introduce new letter sounds. I tape the letters and simple words made up of those letters around the house. You can also use http://www.starfall.com. If your child is a little older and likes certain characters, such as Pooh, make simple PowerPoint slides with the names of the characters. It always helps to add as many words as you can. A whiteboard and marker are great too. For example, you can sound out u and p and then teach up. I see Little Reader as the main thing I do but I do a lot of additional things as well.

I don’t do Little Math but maybe by 18 months start doing patterns, sorting, counting, showing quantities, etc. Teach simple math words like half, quarter, etc. Here is half of an apple. Here is a quarter of an apple. Just make sure you do a little something everyday. A little done everyday is better than a lot done occassionally.
