Is an Acceleration Program Worth It?

Even as other children her age were in school, Ruth began a mathematics degree at Oxford University. Since she had been a baby, Ruth was in a teach your baby math program that was being taught to her father. While still a child, Ruth’s father entered her for public mathematics examinations ordinarily for teenagers. Ruth excelled in all of them to win her place at Oxford.

Ruth Lawrence’s success in school was totally awesome. However, had Ruth not been in a teach your baby math program would she have been able to achieve what she did when she did it? In other words, Ruth would have never succeeded the way she did if it wasn’t for the math program that her father had her on at a young age.

Today, there are a lot more different ways of doing what Ruth did over 20 years ago. There are many schools that offer acceleration programs for parents, children, but before you decide this could be something you would like for your child, here are some advantages and disadvantages you want to consider.

Advantages

If your child is so far more advanced than the other kids in the class then you should consider an acceleration class for them. An example is Mozart! Let’s say he took conventional music lessons in your school you would see how an acceleration class would be good for everybody. Mozart was a teach your baby math and reading program and look how successful he was.
Your child can pace themselves and they won’t get bored as much.
He or she would be able to interact with people of different ages. Your child will love this, especially if they are in a college. An experience like this will make them very happy.

Disadvantages

Your child may like things the way they are and not want to be in an accelerated program.
They know they will still reach their goals without an accelerated program.
They want to go to a university later on in life because they don’t like the idea of being around older people.

Do you see the advantages and disadvantages of an accelerated program? If you decide to have your child in one of these programs it is up to you, but definitely, have them in a teach your baby math program.
